Peri (insert accent here, not sure from where...possibly middle east): "Baby weighs 4 lbs 1 ounce"!!!
Me: (sitting up as he writes this down in the chart)"What?? 4 lbs already? Is he going to be a big baby?"
Peri: "Well he has potential to be big baby"
Me: "NO! I can't have a big baby."
Peri: (laughing) "In my business we worry about babies being too small not too big"
Me: "Well in my business, as in giving birth, I worry about baby being too big"
Peri:(cracks up and moves right along like nothing while I'm still freaking out.)
Me: (I interrupt whatever he's doing) "ok seriously, how much weight is this baby going to gain?"
Peri: (smiles a knowing smile)"1 lb every 2 weeks is about average"
Me: (I quickly do the math...9 weeks left, say he gains 4-5 lbs in that time...equals BIG BABY!!! Still freakin out.) " But I'm only 5'2", I wear a size 6 shoe for God's sake!(because everyone knows shoe size is directly related to pelvis size right???) I am a small person, really a 9 lb baby?"
Peri: (pats my ankle, mind you he's scanning me and checking things out this entire time) "Don't worry, you will be fine"
Me: (mumbling and pouting) "Easy for you to say".
So it's a day later and I'm still a little freaked out over the potential for "big baby". Nathanael thinks it's so funny that he might be big. Yeah I'd think it was funny too if it weren't my vagina he was coming out of! I told him if Zechy is big, this is all his fault/genetics because my family does not do big babies :)!
As for the cercalge, I go back in 3 weeks and peri will make an appt at that time to have the cercalge removed, so right around 35 weeks I will be stich free.
Here's a pic of my big ol' precious baby! ( I still love him despite the fact that he may rip me in half!!)

Oh my goodness look at those cheeks!!!! They already look chubby! I can't wait to kiss them! And look at his little pouty lips! SO SWEET!
Don't worry about the big baby stuff...they can be off. I hear about that all the time! And if he isn't, then we'll keep praying for a 37 1/2 week delivery! :)
he won't rip you in half:) and bigger is better - healthier, you won't have to worry as much as if you have a tiny baby, especially with the initial weight loss! don't worry! fat babies are best - you'll see, just stay tuned to my blog:)
A Big Healthy Boy! Yipee!!!
