Another appt with the peri....

Everything looks good! Of course I was offered the amnio again but declined. I did the AFP screening last Friday so we'll see what those results come back with in about another week. If there happens to be any additional 'markers' other then the echogenic foci that was found 2 weeks ago, then I may reconsider, but I doubt it. The idea of another needle in my stomach.....one that is 10 times the size of the shots I had to do or the zofran infusion sites, just doesn't seems like that great of a time...especially for a 1-2% chance of downs. Plus there's that risk of miscarriage with an amnio...I'd kill myself twice if I did it and then m/c'd yk? So we're letting things be. Oh and I can't help but think in this case, with the % being so low of DS, that "dr wants to bill insurance company mega bucks and collect every dime for a bs test he doesn't need to perform " Call me cynical but it's just how I am with healthcare these days. As for the placenta previa, it actually has moved a little bit so that's good news (better not break that one to mom just yet, she has her hopes on a c-section baby to avoid coneheadation remember?). The Dr. reconfirmed it's still a BOY! :) I see my OB on the 27th and the peri again on Dec. 11th. Here are some fun new pics of my little guy!!
