Swim lessons....

This is the 1st summer we've felt Zechy was ready to participate in swim lessons. Here's the big pool he took lessons in @ Upland High School:

The class usually starts out with a game...this one is called "Popcorn" where we bounce the kids up and down so that they can get use to the water...Next was time to swim like Superman :) Sometimes Zech didn't like to do it. When that would happen he would say "No soupy mama!" :)

We used little plastic toys to entice the kids to swim forward on the floaties...

He has the kicks down pretty well!

After 2 straight weeks of lessons, at the coldest part of the summer (it was like 55 degrees almost every morning we went...odd for this time of year but of course it had to happen when we had swim lessons in an UNHEATED pool) my little boy got his first certificate of completion!!!

He was seriously so proud to have received this piece of paper, it was like he really knew he accomplished something!
And of course we in turn are just as proud of him! Not just for being a trooper and completing his swim lessons but proud just to be the parents of such an amazing, fun, loving, sweet, gift of a little boy! Congratulations Zechariah...something tells me this is the first of MANY accomplishments in your life!
