20 Months!

Ahhh my baby is 20 months...as in only 4 months away from being 2 YEARS OLD! How in the world did that happen? Sigh. It.Goes.Too.Fast. Sometimes I hold him (only when he's sleeping does he really let me do this anymore) and as I study his every feature I think, "someday his little feet will be bigger then mine" "someday he will be taller then me" "someday he will no longer fit on my lap" "someday he will be a grown man and have his own children to hold, and stare at, and care for"....how ever can that be? He is just so little. And perfect. And mine. All good things come to an end I suppose...but for now, I will savor those moments. Because someday they will just be a memory.....

Today I taught him how to play "Ring Around A Rosy" and he loved it. We did it approximately 37583578 times :)

He is infatuated with Tinkerbell. I inadvertently bumped into it being played on Disney channel and he seemed so interested, I hit the "record" button and this movie has become my secret weapon. Anytime he's fussy, hyper, I need a quick minute, I just hit play and instantly he's into that movie. There's a part where Tinkerbell is trying to transport a dew drop and she keeps dropping it. He cracks up like it's the funniest thing he's ever heard. Every time. I love to see him develop his own sense of humor and "get things" like that.

He skipped size 6 shoes and went from a size 5 to a size 7!

He loves his mommy's homemade spaghetti.

He is a very good ant detective. We have been invaded lately but Zechariah sees to it that those little buggers are well taken care of. Nathanael taught him how to use the dust buster himself just for this purpose.

He is grasping the concept of this whole opening present thing...slowly he rips one little piece at a time. The opening of one gift takes about 15 min. I have a feeling we will be in for a loooong night tomorrow :).

He is not that fond of Santa and so both Nathanael and I had to sit on the big guy's lap to get Zech in on the gig.

I LOVE YOU RIAH! You know, I thought last holiday season, I could never have a better one. We were finally blessed with you, our son...and oh how I wanted a baby, a family at Christmas for so very long. Although last year will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first year where my dreams of you came true...you truly make EVERY day and EVERY year better, this season has been the most fun by far. YOU, my love make EVERYTHING better! I look forward to spending the next two days seeing Christmas through your 20 month little eyes!
