Anniversary....

Monday, March 17th, was our 2 year anniversary. You'd think we'd been married a lifetime with all we've been through in that amount of time but nope, just 2 years. In August it'll actually be 5 years since we met. Now that kinda seems like a long time. If there really is such a thing as "love at first sight" I believe we had it. Locking eyes on a nightclub dance floor...LOL So cliche right? I hate to sound all corny but it's true. I remember as a kid dreaming of what my marriage would be like. As an adult I didn't think it would happen...that idea of mutual love and respect. The wanting to be with that person always. Laughing everyday of your life. Even through some of the darkest of days, he can always make me laugh. So it does exisit. And I have it. I can't believe it. Finally. Looking back, we had to make a lot of sacrifices and hard decisions to get to this point in our lives so I thank God for His guidance through it all. I am so grateful for this "happy ending". And with Zech on the way, it's not even the ending, it's just the beginning! How awesome is that?!

So we went to a resort in Ojai, Ca to celebrate over the weekend. The days were filled with room service, watching movies, sleeping, and we got massages at the spa. This time mine was a REAL prenatal massage!!! I was in heaven! The lady had the special pillows with the indentations for the pregnant tummy and the boobs! I actually got to lay on my stomach for the first time in 8 1/2 months. That alone was a treat! She massaged my lower back, my feet, AND worked on all the knots! A real maasage! Go figure. We also had dinner at the fine dining resturant and to my delight I enjoyed the food! Everything was like a party on my pallet. This too was the first time I actually liked food in 8 1/2 months. It was short lived, as I'm back to my weird appetite, but for the moment it was absolutely wonderful to enjoy eating, if only for an hour.

The resort was kid and dog friendly we learned, as we noticed some people brought both of them along. So we just might have to go back with the whole crew :). Baxter would do wonderfully. Bridgi...umm she might have to grow up a little still. She's a bit on the hyper side when she sees people or dogs...or squirrels, or rabbits, or lizards, or flies.... But she's a baby. She'll grow out of it. Hopefully....

I saw some swim diapers at Target the other day. I should have picked one up for Zech. I'll have to go back for that. Because I am hoping to get him in the swimming pool this summer and he'll need them for trips to resorts like this in the future :).

I have a perinatologist appt in the morning so I get to see this little guy who's been literally taking my breath away for the last few days. I read on babycenter that breathing should become easier at this point, as the baby makes their way down towards the birth canal. I don't think Zech got the memo. he's up against my diaphram more then ever it seems! I wonder how much he weighs now?? We'll find out tomorrow...
