At the beginning of December we went to the Upland Christmas parade. It was a rather...umm shall we say interesting little parade :) but he had a blast. He really is a people watcher. He loves just being out and about amongst people...so much like his mother ;)
The following day we went and picked out our Christmas tree...even though it was raining, we were determined to have our tree that very weekend, it's our little tradition to get it the 1st weekend of Decemeber.

We had a professional photoshoot in Novemeber but I wasn't 100% happy with the pics so we attempted to take some of our own. I was hoping for a nice family shot for our cards this year...umm yea so I ended up using a pic from our anniversary photoshoot instead ;) But here are some contenders....

I heart our tree skirt, it was one of the first purchases I made with our name on it after we got married...

Lots of our evenings were spent walking the neighborhood for Zechy (and Bridgit) to see the "wights" he was fascinated with Christmas lights....so much so that when he saw a house without lights up he would say "Mama dis house boken!" (mama this house broken).
And so since lights were his thing we absolutely had to take a trip to see the remarkable lights in Alta Loma. And what better people to share this experience with then our beloved Marshalls!
As we strolled through the neighborhood looking at the lights, he just had to hold my hand. Melt.
He was being such an angel that night remaining in the wagon, that we dare not take him out for a pic...so we joined him down at his level instead.
We made more memories with our "buns" (that's how he says friends lol) and made Christmas cookies with Cameron!
The dough was taste tested and toddler approved.
Time to cut out the cookies!
And though we decided virtually at Zech's birth we would not be perpetuating the whole Santa story to him...he somehow learned of Santa's existence, all by himself! (or perhaps compliments of Dora or Cailou) And so off to see Santa we went...no Christmas would be complete without the trip anyway...especially in THAT outfit right?! (biting knuckles!!)

In the midst of all the kiddie fun, I took a break for a little adult time by attending my annual luncheon with my beloved college friends/sorority sisters....when we get together, it's as if no time has passed at all...love these girls!
Christmas Eve arrived at last...after a wonderful Christmas Eve service at church we went over to my mom's to celebrate with the family....
