Fair Time Again....

We started making the fair an annual tradition about 5 years ago. When we thought about going this year, I must admit, it was a bit bitter sweet, most of the time we've enjoyed it with friends. But after all that's occurred, it's hard to discern who's who in this season of our life, so we're sticking to ourselves a bit. Though we're having so much uncertainty, we have decided to make a conscious effort not to allow for outside influences to conflict with our family's memory making. So we took a break from the job hunting, the hurt feelings, the sense of loss and incredible sadness we are living with daily and set out to have some much needed fun. And seeing Zech enjoy himself, was just what we needed!

Since having Zech we've done these photo booth pics each year

Nathanael and I got a pretty good shot of ourselves at the entrance gate:

A family one...

And a Riah one...

He had lots of fun running around the hay stacks...

And then of course petting and feeding the goats...

He is such an animal lover!

The Ralphs "grocery store" was a hit to play in...

We went on the big slide, he climbed 5 story obstacle courses all by himself and the 3 of us enjoyed a pirate ship ride. What a difference experiencing the fair was this year with a little one who can ride all these fun attractions! Nathanael and I stuffed our faces with shish kabobs, corn on the cob, tacos, crepes, margaritas, fries...and of all those things, Zech enjoyed the most the grapes we brought for him from home! No worries though, Nathanael and I didn't let a morsel go to waste ;)

At the end of our outings, the verdict was, this was a good night....we'll deal with the reality of our situation tomorrow...
