Day at the Farm!

We have been blessed with a dear friend, Danielle who has started a playgroup called "Nutrimoms" which meet once a month at her home. Danielle is awesome...she's extremely knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition, being green, and just overall health. For the group's June meeting she arranged for us to have a tour of a neighboring farm. Living where we do, we don't get a whole lot of opportunity to get to do this kind of thing so it was a real treat for all the kids and moms alike!

Then we made some new furry friends!

Zechy saw the older kids of the group do this...so of course he had to try it to!

We were able to feed the pigs!

We also milked cows! Here Zechy is petting the largest cow on the farm. I believe she was a dainty 2000 lbs!

She was a sweet girl...

The kids also got to brush the pony's hair.

What is daily life for some was such an amazing experience for us city folk to see! Many thanks to Danielle for providing us with this great day!
